What a delicious way to enjoy Muscadine wine and get that needed Resveratrol for increased health of our bodies. You’ll enjoy the refreshing herbal scent of this light and peachy Sangria sipper (for adults over 21). The first Sangria cocktail recipe contains schnapps liqueur and has a little punch more of alcohol. Second recipe is lighter on alcohol which helps the recipe be lighter on sugar and calories.
Peach Muscadine Sangria, prepares about 4 6oz glasses
INGREDIENTS:
1/2 Bottle (750mL) White Muscdaine Scuppernong Wine
1/2 Bottle (750mL) Extra Dry Sparkling White Wine
3 oz Peach Schnapps liqueur
1 teaspoon Lime Juice
1 Lime, washed and thinly sliced
1 Small Bunch of Mint leaves, fresh only please.
3 Peaches, washed and peeled if desired. Remove the center stone and bitter red flesh around it. Cut to wedges or slices, no worries here. The fruit is for extra flavor and garnish
Mix It Up Good! You know this looks and sounds delicious before you even taste it. Let’s mix it up good in a glass pitcher with a wooden spoon or spatula. Gently stir all ingredients together until blended, adding fresh fruit and mint leaves in last. Serve over ice cubes with fruit and a sprig of mint for garninsh.
Peachy Muscadine Sangria Spritzer, makes about 4 6oz beverages
INGREDIENTS:
1/2 Bottle (750mL) of White Scuppernong Wine
1 Liter Club Soda or Sparkling Water
1/2 Cup or 4 ounces Peach Puree. This can be fresh peaches or from a can in their juice. Toss them in a blender or food processor briefly to puree. They add nice flavor and texture to the drink.
1 Lime washed and thinly sliced
1 Small Bunch Fresh Mint
3 Peaches, washed and stone removed. Cut away any bitter red fiberous matter around the stone as well before dropping them in the glasses.
Let’s Mix it Up! You can see we have cut calories, sugar, and alcohol without cutting back of flavor with this Sangria recipe. Gently stir all liquid ingredients together in a glass pitcher with a spatula or wooden spoon. Serve in glasses with fruit on the bottom, add ice cubes, then Sangria spritzer. Enjoy responsibly for 21 and up.
