Family owned, family-focused, no-fuss spot to enjoy an afternoon round of cornhole while sipping on a cocktail from the outdoor bar. Enjoy the great weather while sitting on a bench under the pine tree shade and munching on hushpuppies. Try their plump shrimp, lightly breaded and golden fried with homemade cocktail sauce, my favorite. The flounder fillets were flaky and tender, not greasy and the red rice was tasty.

5. Charleston Bakery and Delicatessen
- Why You’ll Love It: This is the casual local spot for breakfast and lunch all day since 2012. You’ll find local traditions and comfort food with a little bit of everything you love here. Classic Matzo Ball Soup, Blintzes, Potato Latkes, knish, bagels, fluffy pancakes, thick deli sandwiches, hearty breakfast platters, fat omelets, handcrafted salads, and scratch-made desserts that are to die for. There are no wrong choices here, and there’s something for everyone. Don’t forget to try the tomato pie!
