This is a wonderful time of year when many family farms are reaping the harvest in the Southern Carolina states. North and South Carolina have a rather unique band of sandhill terrain in the midlands that is very acidic soil. Pine trees and blueberry bushes really thrive in this soil; local Farmer’s Markets are selling buckets for the blueberry hauls.
